Get the Selenium IDE for Firefox 54 download here...

We are working on a Selenium IDE for Chrome (install link, source code link) and sometimes we need to download the original Firefox Selenium IDE for compatibility testing. Unfortunately the Mozilla addon website blocks this download - even so the Firefox IDE works just fine in Firefox 54. (It no longer works in Firefox 55 and you will get the 'table view is not available with this format' error when the IDE is launched in Firefox 55 or later.) So for everyone's convenience we host the latest version of the signed XPI on our website:

I regularly update Firefox and Chrome browser, current version 54.0.1 32 bit So which version of Geckodriver to be used. I tried with both version Geckodriver-v0.18.0 and geckodriver-v0.16.1 For future reference where can I find the list the supported firefox browsers with respective geckodriver versions. Firefox 54.0 has been released on June 13, 2017 to the stable channel. The new version is offered through the Firefox web browser's automatic update functionality, and also provided as a direct download from Mozilla's website.

How to install after download:
Download the XPI and drag & drop it on a Firefox 54 browser window. That is all.

You also need Firefox 54. You can download Firefox 54.0.1 here or, better, use Firefox PORTABLE 54.0.1. To keep yourself secure, install Firefox 54 portable just for automated testing with the Selenium IDE. You should install the portable version of Firefox in a separate directory from your main Firefox. This way you can keep auto-updates on for your regular Firefox. This makes sure you are safe when browsing the web.

Firefox Version 52.0.1

I am running version 54.0.1 (32-bit) on Windows 10. I often have problems opening Firefox because old Firefox processes are still running in Windows (despite the application having been closed properly from a UI perspective).

Firefox Version 52.0.1 For Mac

I have tried to upgrade many times. I can't upgrade automatically because the restart of Firefox fails after the update downloads. If I use the installer that I downloaded, I can get to a new version for one session -- today it was 55.0.3 (64-bit) -- but after i close Firefox and re-open it again, I somehow magically revert to the older version (54.0.1).

How can I update to the latest version of Firefox for good and hopefully get past the issue with processes not closing properly in Windows?
